The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts), located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood near the intersection of California Avenue and Augusta Boulevard is available for event rentals. This historic building features a wide variety of unique spaces to accommodate your special event, conference, performance, auditions/rehearsals, workshops, vendor fair or exhibition!

We offer facility rentals that include use of an auditorium featuring theatrical lighting with seats for 500+ guests, a black box theater, dance studios, music performance hall featuring a grand piano, gymnasium, library, computer lab and a sunny and spacious gallery. The rental also includes sound, lighting, audio/visual equipment, pianos/keyboards, wireless internet and numerous classrooms, some containing sound-proof practice booths. Spaces are available by the hour on evenings, weekends, and non-attendance days for students.

How To Book

For booking and information email: media@chiarts.org, please include your name, email and contact phone number.

Hours Of Operation Weekdays after 5pm, Weekends, Non-Attendance Days for students/staff (see ChiArts 2015-16 calendar). Use of the Auditorium limited to three (3) days.
Rental Policy Proposals and application must be signed and returned at least thirty days in advance (30) business days prior to desired rental date. Some exceptions apply. A deposit of 50% of the estimated fee will be required at least (10) business days prior to the desired rental date(s).
Cancellation Policy Notice of cancellation must be given at least (48) hours prior to the scheduled date of activity. A base fee of $50.00 per rental is non-refundable after the contract has been executed. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of payments made.
